The Red Dirt Rangers in concert! Thursday, May 30th at 7pm... in Perkins, OK


 
THE CIMARRON BREEZE CONCERT SERIES IS PROUD TO HOST...
ON THURSDAY, MAY 30th AT 7PM:  
 
THE RED DIRT RANGERS!
 
This is their 25th year of performing, traveling, recording, and writing together and they have come out with a fabulous new CD to celebrate with~ "Lone Chimney."
 
This album was recorded right down a few dirt roads from where two of the Rangers reside (Lone Chimney, OK) at the home of dear friend and legendary guitarist and Tractors front man- Steve Ripley.
 
A beautiful setting to work in, the songs took on a breath of inspiration at the Ripley studio.  With Porter their official greeter- a border collie dog- to the memorabilia all them in the studio from forty years of Steve's music biz friends and their studio work. 
 
Ranger men John Cooper and Brad Piccolo have also started back up their popular radio show with the help of KOSU, FM on the campus of Oklahoma State University.  The show is aired each Sunday at  9pm.
 
This Thursday evening will be a great time to kick back and enjoy the new and the old songs performed by Coop, Pic, and Ben Hahn.  You are also welcome to scoot a boot or two, if you can't find room inside, just step outside and listen thru windows!  Jonna Bostain Crane (of The Monument Station) will be serving up cold beverages and savory snacks, Robin Byrd will be selling her amazing 'I think SO!' cupcakes, and we'll have a CD table set up with The Rangers merchandise.  Don Morris and Monica Taylor will also have a few of their CDs there to take home with you! 
 
 
 
 
The Monica Taylor Trio- featuring Don Morris & Gene Williams- will be opening up the show with a 30 minute set of their own tunes and stories. www.monicataylormusic.com

Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. 
 
*If you would like to come early for 'Meet & Greet' with the artists, come between 5:30 and 6pm.  It will be an extra $5 but you will get to enjoy the 6pm interview with each of The Rangers, a drink and snacks, get your seat for the evening... ask The Rangers questions about their careers. 
 Randy Crouch and Don Morris will be with them, too! Should be a lot of fun!
 
 
Ya'll come to Perkins, OK for a night of music, at the Old Church Center located in the historical Oklahoma Territorial Plaza just north of Perkins, at 750 North Main. You can see all of the old buildings, railroad station, caboose, school, barns, church, Pistol Pete's old house from the intersection of highway 33 & highway 77.
